DENIS LYLE
Denis Lyle was born into a godly home in Banbridge, Co. Down
N. Ireland. His parents took him to the local Baptist Church, and through
its ministry he was brought to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus
Christ.
As a young man he responded to the call of God to Christian service. Entering the Irish Baptist College (Belfast 1972) he graduated three years later. On the completion of his Biblical studies he received a call to minister the Word of God in Carryduff Baptist Church, just outside Belfast. There he exercised a fruitful ministry for twelve years. In 1987 Denis began his ministry in the Iron Hall Assembly, Belfast, pastoring the work there for eleven years. In March 1998 he commenced work as pastor/teacher in Lurgan Baptist Church, Co. Armagh, where he is currently preaching the Word.
Throughout the past 25 years Denis has conducted numerous evangelistic missions in his own country. He has also ministered in the Republic of Ireland, Scotland, South Africa, Australia, and Romania. In 1997 Ambassador Productions produced his first book, "The Good, the Bad, and the Lukewarm." (A relevant approach to the Seven Churches in Revelation) His second book, "Countdown to Apocalypse," also produced by Ambassador (1999) is a relevant approach to Biblical Prophecy.
In 1997 Denis received an MA from the European Theological Seminary for a thesis on the seven churches, and in 1999 he received a Ph.D. from the same seminary for his thesis on Biblical Prophecy.
Denis is married to Catherine, a staff nurse and has a family of two, Mark and Heather.
